Why take this course with Learn Hebrew Academy?

Aleph א's university-level curriculum and teaching methodology will equip you with the fundamentals whether or not you intend to continue your Hebrew learning.
  • Unique approach: The approach of Learn Hebrew Academy balances the essentials of grammar with the practical skills of reading texts aloud. Without getting bogged down in vocabulary list memorization, students will be able to read simple biblical texts by the end of the first course.
  • Experienced Instructor: At Learn Hebrew Academy, students have the opportunity to go at their own pace without sacrificing the teacher-student interaction. Students may also interact with other students enrolled in the course and take optional quizzes to map their progress.

"I highly recommend Megan if you are considering learning Hebrew. She is a gifted teacher, passionate about Hebrew, very professional and personable, and easily accessible to her students. Because her classes are available for a lifetime, and can be done at your own pace, the investment for her class is well worth it. You can work your learning around your schedule. The platform she uses for her classes is also very fitting for the student who prefers in person education, as she does her classes live with the ability to communicate visually with her students. She is very thorough, and responsive, and the platform is simple to use, even for those not strong in tech skills. I would definitely encourage any who are on the fence with the decision of which Hebrew class to take online, to feel secure in their choice with Learn Hebrew Academy!"

“Megan's course is a much better buy than the online university Hebrew course I took. Her explanations are much more clear, and the book she uses has more practical and memorable exercises than the college-credit course I took. I sure wish Megan's Aleph א course had been available when I began my Hebrew studies! Still, the Aleph course is filling in the gaps left by my university course.”

What's the difference between Aleph א (Spring 2019) and Aleph א (Fall 2019)?
Aleph א, which was offered in Spring 2019, was the first cohort of the Basics of Biblical Hebrew. The Fall 2019 course will be a different cohort, designed to knit together the new group of students and allow them to participate in live classes as we progress through the material. If you are not interested in a cohort and just want access to the whole course content at the same time, Aleph א (Spring 2019) is for you. The same material will be covered in both courses; it's just a matter of how you prefer to work through it.
